Send a message to a mailing list with GMail

When I send a message to a mailing list and some people answer me, I get this in my Thuderbird: http://goo.gl/xwbqj

The problem with this is following discussions

When subscribed to a high traffic mailing list, It's usefull for me to highlight my own messages, so that I can quickly find the discussions where I'm involved.

With this GMail feature, I just cannot.

The solution

Looking for a solution to the problem, I found 3 links describing the problem:

One solution would be to switch away from GMail, but I would not. I'd rather ask for a technical solution to this.

If anyone has a solution, please feel free to tell!
